Hispanic Community Health Study / Study of Latinos News
The Miami Field Center represents a university-wide collaboration, involving the College of Arts and Sciences and the Miller School of Medicine of the University of Miami together with multiple community partners.
It is a goal of the Hispanic Community Health Study/Study of Latinos (HCHS/SOL) to improve the health of the Hispanic/Latino communities in the United States, and that of its local study areas, in particular. The HCHS/SOL includes outreach and media activities to inform the community of the goals and characteristics of the study. Health education programs are also provided in various community settings. A Community Advisory Committee helps inform and facilitate these activities.
